In contrast, the resting ECG is performed when the patient is motionless, often lying down, to observe the heart in a state of calm.

How the test
For carry out the testIt is recommended that you have been fasting for two (2) hours. 🚫🌮
It's actually easier and safer to perform the stress ECG on a lighter stomach.
Other recommendations may include avoiding caffeine before the exam, wearing appropriate shoes for exercise, and discussing your medications with your doctor.
We recommend that you discuss any concerns you may have with your technician before the examination.
First, our technician will clean ten (10) small areas on your chest to attach electrodes, small flat tights that will be connected to an electrocardiogram monitor.
This monitor records the electrical activity of your heart during the examination. 🩻
Once the electrodes are in place, you walk on a treadmill that gradually increases in speed or resistance.
The goal is to reach your target heart rate, or if you have symptoms that indicate you should stop (chest pain, change in blood pressure, etc.).
Heart rate, rhythm and blood pressure are monitored in real time throughout the examination. 🕦
Once the exercise is complete, you may be asked to remain still or lie down for a while with the monitors in place.
The person in charge of your examination can monitor any abnormalities as your heart rate and breathing return to normal.
The total duration of the examination is approximately one (1) hour.
